DAIRY KEEPS GOING - REMOTE COURSES
HOW IT WILL WORK
I will email a detailed project with instructions, challenges, photos and specific artists references to you every Monday morning. You then send pictures of your work by email on Wednesday or Friday mornings for email feed back and ideas on what to do, how to improve it. The more you stick to the weekly programme the closer you will be a part of the remote process and therefore be able contribute and join in more. Do get the oils out if you can, but try to commit to the weekly projects as well. We will all learn some new skills and techniques that we can bring back to the studio when we can.
SOCIAL MEDIA
I will post images of your work on the new Instagram site @dairy_keeps_going with the hope that you will all make positive contributions and comments on each others work. After all it is called social media so lets get on and use it as such! I know that some of you already have IG - keep that going as well! I will also attempt some video demonstrations along the way.
THE DRAWING AND WATERCOLOUR COURSE
Yes - Im doing it - I never dreamed that I would - but with my recent sucess at the RWS I think now is the time. It is the most accessible medium for home and in your gardens. So here goes. I appreciate that some of you may have considerable experience in WC - do bring this knowledge into the projects.
I will suggest a subject/theme that will carry us all through a few weeks. Each week I will suggest a different theme and drawing medium. It will be fun to see what different people come up with along one theme each week.
Each week we will explore a different technique, look at a specific artist and subject matter. What we all learn in these slightly more technical projects will undoubtedly feed into future oil paintings.
What you will need:
Watercolour sketchbook, thicker cartridge will do.
Roll of maksing tape. Brushes.
Set of basic watercolours.Pens, pencil, charcoal, rubber.
NEW EXHIBITION COURSE
This is a follow on course and is more project based, the aim is to create a body of work that goes a bit further than the previous course, and hading for hopefully a small exhbitition in the studio later in the year.
COSTING
The cost is £42 for a 6 week course. I will send the weekly projects to and give weekly feedback This will cover my time in preparing the projects, feedback to you and admin. Thank you.
